Generalized Anxiety
Disorder (GAD)
When anxiety feels constant, a different approach can help.
When your mind never seems to switch off, finding a different path may be possible.
Living with generalized anxiety can feel like a constant cycle of worry, overthinking, and anticipating what might go wrong. It can affect your sleep, your relationships, your ability to focus, and your overall sense of well-being.
You may logically know that your worries are disproportionate, yet still find it incredibly difficult to let them go. Anxiety can make everyday situations feel overwhelming.
At Reunion, we take the time to understand your unique experience and provide a safe, supportive space to explore different ways of healing.
What is Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)?
GAD involves persistent and excessive worry about a variety of everyday situations. The worry can be difficult to control and may feel like a constant underlying sense of unease.
GAD can affect your thoughts, emotions, body, and behaviour, and may show up as restlessness, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, fatigue, and trouble sleeping.
While anxiety can be a normal response to stress, GAS often feels disproportionate and can interfere with your daily life, making it hard to feel present and engages in the things you enjoy.
